Your addiction to cheap dopamine is killing your purpose.
Constantly scrolling is destroying your mind.
Constantly eating junk is destroying your body.
Constantly watching porn is destroying your soul.
Constantly procrastinating is destroying your future.
Constantly seeking validation is destroying your confidence.
Think about it
Every time you indulge in your cheap dopamine-inducing activities, you get a shot of pure happiness straight to the brain. You feel like you’re on top of the world. So, you keep repeating. And before you know it, weeks turn into months, and you're still stuck in the same damn place. You're like a hamster on a wheel, running and running, but never actually getting anywhere.
Don't be fooled by what pleases your senses. Just because something
tastes good
feels good
looks good
entertains you
invites you in — doesn’t mean it’s good for you.
The thing that seems the most tempting is the most destructive.
Take Control
Underneath your dopamine addiction, there’s an unfulfilled need that you've been neglecting for far too long. That longing is your sense of purpose — your reason for being. You believe that once you have a clear sense of direction, everything else will fall into place. But you know deep down it doesn’t work this way. You can create your purpose only if you are intentional and you can only be intentional if you eliminate cheap dopamine from your life. It’s time to cut the cord.
